Here’s the first full print of the NASA chess set. There are a few tweaks that must be made (mostly sizing and tolerances with the board) but overall I’m pretty pleased with it.
A gift for my Mom, my homage to the Balboa Park Botanical Building as a bird feeder. The building is a San Diego treasure and I tried to capture its look and feel while still maintaining usability and print-ability. I think it works. Printed in @greengate3d R-PETG (Sandman Tan and Coffee). The perches are 2mm copper rod.

So I was kinda hoping to have this all ready in time for RMRRF but I don`t think it`s in the cards. To make up for that, here`s a sneak peak at pieces from my upcoming NASA Chess set. Prints are a little sus, but they are prototypes.
Been juggling so many projects that I’m behind on posting the completed work. This is my planetary gear clock, my take on retro industrial. This should be going up on @printablescom before too long.
I can neither confirm nor deny that I may or may not be working on something special.

Today was a big “bucket list item fulfillment” day. When I got my first library card I was obsessed with two sections; science fiction and aviation. My go to book was very frequently a large picture book about the National Air and Space Museum. It was an obsession really. So today, some 45(ish) years later I finally got to visit!
